Select Your Video & Upload to ElevatorSpeak
- Use the upload box (left). You can either click “Select your file” and navigate to the file on your computer. Or you can drag and drop your file into the box.
- You can only upload video files, not other types of files such as PDF or Images. File types supported are: 3g2, 3gp, avi, flv, m4v, mov (QDM2 only), mp4, mpg, ogv, webm, wmv. Only upload one video, as this will become your primary video viewable by employers.
- Below the description you will see the file size. Make sure your file is no larger than 32MB.
- You can customize the Title and Description of the video by clicking on the pencil icon under the blue filmstrip image. For the Title, use either your name or your profession. Use a catchy phrase to describe your dream job as a Description.
- When you are satisfied with these settings, press the “Start upload” button. Depending on your connection speed, it may take a few moments to complete. As soon as the upload process is done, you will be automatically redirected to page with a full-size display of the video.
- The video is also automatically run through a Transcoder. During the Transcoding process, four separate Thumbnail Images are automatically generated. You may see a temporary message below the video thumbnail during the transcoding process: “This file is converting. Please refresh the page after some time.”
- Once the Blue Filmstrip Icon disappears, you can select the “View Your Video” button to see how it looks in the lightbox.
You can make further changes at any time from the lightbox, including:
- Changing the Title
- Changing the Description
- Selecting the Video as “Featured”
Each Video Thumbnail is a different snapshot of a video frame. One is selected by default to be shown in the Directory. ou can change the Video Thumbnail that is displayed. Or you can upload your own “Media Thumbnail” to be used as the cover image. If you upload your own Media Thumbnail, use files that are no larger than 800×533 pixels @ 72 dpi. JPEG (.jpg) is the preferred format.
Final Step:
Once you have done this and completed your entire Profile Listing, you must submit a Request for Review. Your profile will be reviewed by ElevatorSpeak. You will receive an email with any questions; otherwise your Membership Level will be upgraded to “Approved Job Candidate” and your information will be visible to Companies and Employers!
